Legal Counsel, Internet Services & Marketing

Job Summary

Incredible opportunity to work in Apple’s Internet Services and Marketing Legal Group. This job will entail product guidance, licensing, and marketing work.

Key Qualifications

• Ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 6 years of relevant law firm experience.
• In-house experience with a company of similar size and complexity as Apple also a plus.
• Strong work ethic and collaborative skills an absolute must.
• Experience with digital products, tech transactions, terms and conditions, payment processing laws and regulations, consumer protection and disclosures, privacy law, and/or other areas relevant to a highly-visible, consumer-facing digital content distribution and e-commerce business.
• Ability to issue spot and advise on legal implications while furthering business objectives and goals.
• Confident drafting and negotiating commercial and license agreements, including software and data licenses, IP acquisitions, and complex marketing technology contracts.
• Demonstrated adaptability in advising a variety of client teams driven by a diverse set of business objectives.
• Comfort handling multiple projects on competing timelines.
• Experience working with software engineers and international business, legal and tax teams is a plus.
• Superior verbal and written communication and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
• Passion for building strong relationships with your clients and with the broader Apple Legal Group is a must.
• Comfort handling M&A or other strategic transactions a plus.

Description

You will be one of the primary contacts for the Internet Services and marketing teams working closely with a small group of attorneys to serve one of the most dynamic business and creative units in the world. You will help counsel and advise product development teams in launching new products, releasing updates, drafting software and data licenses and other strategic agreements, and helping to shepherd expansion efforts.

Education

Requires a JD, excellent academic credentials, and admission to at least one State Bar.
