Assistant Counsel (remote considered)

24 Exchange is seeking a highly motivated dynamic junior lawyer to support our international legal team, providing general legal and compliance support and counsel in daily transactions, including commercial partnerships, licensing agreements, NDAs and other projects. Your principal goal will be to become a trusted and proactive contributor to our business, efficiently working with our commercial, compliance and legal teams in concluding business agreements while ensuring those agreements comply with applicable laws and our company procedures and actively helping our company avoid and manage possible legal risks. This position will report to our General Counsel.

Responsibilities:
Provide legal support and strategic advice to various functions and groups throughout the organization, including compliance, finance, senior management and the various business units. Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of licensing agreements and commercial contracts with suppliers, vendors and clients.

Provide advice and assistance to the business teams with respect to a broad mix of commercial transactional activity, risk management, regulatory analysis, policy development, and compliance.

Required Experience:

• JD from an accredited law school and member of a state bar.
• A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in a law firm or corporate legal department environment
• Experience with FX, equities and derivatives will be considered a plus, as well as experience in cryptocurrencies).
• Regulatory experience in the financial sector (e.g. CFTC, NFA, SEC), public company and/or compliance experience considered a strong asset.
• Familiarity with intellectual property, outsourcing, contracting, data protection, and related regulatory and risk environments.
