Job Description:

Position will support Global Marketing and Corporate Affairs division, Consumer & GWIM home loans marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

In-depth knowledge of: Regulation Z, UDAAP, TILA, RESPA, TCPA, FCRA, ECOA, Fair Lending, privacy, data usage, and guidance from the FTC, CFPB, FCC and the FFIEC.

Mortgage lending experience and understanding required.

Proficiency with analyzing direct mail marketing, email marketing, telemarketing, digital marketing and customer modeling.

Knowledge of online and mobile privacy laws such as the E-SIGN Act, consumer notice, and related disclosure requirements.

Experience analyzing laws, contract terms, corporate policies and standards related to marketing, digital, privacy, process, risk.

Enterprise Description:

Provides general legal counsel to the consumer banking businesses, as well as specific advice on products, services and certain legal actions. Reviews legal contracts and documents. Directly, or through staff, conducts legal research. May represent the bank in legal actions. Individuals in this position typically have a minimum of five years of experience since admission to the Bar.

Required Skills:

Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a law firm, corporate legal department or compliance/risk function. Will consider candidates with 3 years experience for those with strong marketing experience.

Deep knowledge of federal banking regulations.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be very detail-oriented.

Independent self-starter capable of prioritizing conflicting demands and handling multiple assignments simultaneously.

Ability to present complex issues in clear and concise manner with results-oriented legal advice.

Proficiency identifying and escalating all issues related to product, originations, servicing, compliance, privacy, fair lending, RESPA, Intellectual Property, FCRA, data and risk partners. Ability to advise and support all control partners in the development of practical solutions and operational processes.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and collaborative environment with many partners and stakeholders.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to make informed and solid decisions to assist clients and control partners in short timeframes.

Must be admitted to at least one state bar in active/good standing with active JD degree.
