Redfin is a well-funded technology-driven residential real estate brokerage. We are revolutionizing the $60 billion real estate industry in the customer's favor. At Redfin you'll be able to unleash your brilliance working with a team to deliver expert legal advice and customer service for both real estate professionals in the field and employees at HQ. If you've got fire to do work that matters, and want to be a part of a constantly-evolving and customer-focused legal team, we'd like to meet you.

Redfin is looking for a highly-qualified attorney to join its small legal team. The successful candidate will have a lightning quick sense of humor, the willingness and aptitude to tackle a wide range of legal and business issues, and superb legal, interpersonal, and client-service skills.

What you'll do:

As part of Redfin's legal team you will provide legal support to all aspects of Redfin's business, with an emphasis on supporting our nationwide real estate operation. We are looking for someone who loves delivering outstanding service directly to clients. Redfin moves fast and you will need to think on your feet and provide timely, actionable, and thoughtful advice. You'll get to do a lot of interesting stuff; some examples include:

Provide proactive day-to-day support to Redfin's amazing real estate agents and managers across the country

Provide support to Redfin designated brokers to prepare and conduct audit activities for individual markets

Develop systems and frameworks that allow the legal team to work smarter, not harder, and focus on empowering clients

Provide live-fire, hands-on advice on real estate transactions and related disputes and litigation

Structure, negotiate, and draft real estate, and other agreements and forms

What you'll need to succeed:

A law license and 4+ years of top-notch legal experience

Experience in a busy practice with a ton of day-to-day counseling and advice, whether in the context of regulatory compliance, litigation and dispute resolution, or real estate transactions

Mortgage regulatory experience a significant plus

Preference for candidates with residential real estate contract drafting, review and negotiation experience

Willingness to take on jobs big and small related to a wide variety of subjects including licensing and regulatory compliance, mortgage, residential real estate, employment, litigation management, discovery, and MLS issues. Experience in some or all of these areas a positive -- eagerness to learn a necessity

Outstanding oral and written communication skills. It's not just about being able to understand complex legal issues, but about sharing them in a simple, elegant, persuasive way

Strong ability to listen to, collaborate with, and provide unobtrusive but effective advice to clients at all levels of the organization

Infectious and joyful approach to tackling complex legal and business problems

Ability to remain calm under pressure, handle a rapidly-changing environment, and shift from one task to another

Compulsion to wow internal clients with outstanding service

Motivation to take ownership of projects and functions and get things done

Passion for detail, outstanding organizational skills, and excellent follow-through

We Offer:

Small teams with great exposure to all levels of the company

Great location in downtown Seattle

Competitive compensation, generous benefits and 3-weeks paid vacation annually

Support and resources to continue learning

Amazingly smart and fun teammates, and a management team invested in your growth and success
