Equity and Benefits Attorney

Manages the development of legal strategies by providing specialized legal expertise and advice in the area of equity, employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
Actively assists the Deputy General Counsel for Global Functions in providing legal support to the Company’s HR and Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
Plans and facilitates training and mentoring sessions with other team members and clients to share expertise on topics related to equity, employee benefits and executive compensation.
Identifies and resolves highly complex legal, regulatory, and business issues requiring highly specialized knowledge and judgment.
Acts as a master of the area of specialization by networking effectively to share subject matter expertise across a broad cross-section of the organization.
Scope includes supporting clients on a global basis; with specific concentration on U.S. legal issues.
Education and Experience Required
Advanced university degree in law (e.g. JD or LLB).
Meets local legal license requirements (applicable State Bar admission).
Mastery in negotiating or advising senior clients on complex and high value/risk matters in the areas of equity, employee benefits and executive compensation.
Significant legal experience (generally 8+ years) corporate in-house or at a law firm.
Significant experience managing multiple, complex, strategic, specialty law projects, issues, and transactions.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Mastery of practical and academic knowledge within the specific legal concentration of and a recognized authority in one or more sub-areas within the specific legal concentration.
Willingness and ability to develop deep knowledge of company policies, procedures, and practices relevant to the specialty.
Developed understanding of how to operate successfully in the international legal environment for the specific legal concentration.
Excellent presentation, facilitation, and networking skills.
English language skills to business standard required
