•4+ years of legal experience in either private law firm or in-house counsel position

Experience Preferred:

•Degree from a four-year college with a strong academic performance and an interest in learning more about the practice of law.

•Juris Doctorate (J.D.)

•Experience in one or more of the following: commercial transactions, litigation, commercial contracts, employment law or internal investigations.

•Prior experience working in a service industry or providing legal services in the hospitality industry is extremely helpful, not helpful.

The Role

Responsibilities include general oversight of vendor contracting process, support of hotel safety and security programs, development of corporate and brand protocols and involvement in corporate M&A transactions. This includes

•Leading contract negotiations for hotel agreements, sales agreements, and master services agreements

•Development and participation in hotel level trainings

•Acting as legal operations liaison in corporate transactions, including hotel transitions and mergers and acquisitions

•Providing advice to hotels and resolving guest disputes

•Involvement in special initiatives and cross-functional projects

•Opportunities to participate in Hyatt’s Diversity & Inclusion activities
