The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Idaho is seeking applications for an Assistant United States Attorney to serve in the Civil Division.

This position is located in Boise, Idaho. Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree The District has a full-time opening for an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in the Civil Division. The position is a general defensive litigation position. Accordingly, the individual selected will be responsible for handling a heavy civil caseload involving a wide variety of federal cases, including common law torts, medical malpractice, constitutional torts (Bivens), and employment discrimination.
Applicants will be expected to do their own legal research and writing and will be substantially self-sufficient in preparing day-to-day correspondence and pleadings. Applicants must also demonstrate excellent computer literacy skills to include experience with e-discovery and e-litigation platforms, electronic court filing, and e-mail and word processing systems.
Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Required Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), and have at least 3 years post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience.
