About the Team
This role will be in our Data Infrastructure Legal team. This is a global team with colleagues currently based in LA, London, Dublin, Sydney, Beijing and São Paulo. The team provides vital support for our global digital infrastructure expansion outside of China (including for TikTok and our enterprise products businesses). We provide integrated and commercially-driven legal advice to a company that is continuing to see rapid and sustained growth. We are focused on ensuring that our global infrastructure projects (including data center development) receive exceptional legal advice and support.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient, and business-minded lawyer with experience in advising on complex infrastructure projects, preferably with direct exposure to data centre development, construction and operations. We are also open to candidates from adjacent sectors such as energy, utilities, or large-scale network or edge infrastructure, where experience has been gained in similarly capital intensive, highly regulated and technically complex projects. It is important that you have strong infrastructure project experience, sound legal and commercial judgement, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
- Negotiate all contractual documentation for the establishment and delivery of long-term data centers, including with major data center developers.
- Support on a range of projects including in relation to power purchase, utility interconnection and renewables.
- Negotiate a range of commercial and technology contracts, including software licenses, SaaS agreements, development contracts, consultancy, outsourcing and other service provision agreements, and cloud-based service model agreements.
- Advise on laws and regulations relating to digital infrastructure and help drive the development and roll-out of standard policies and template agreements to improve efficiency and risk management.
- Distill complex information in order to deliver clear, precise and pragmatic advice to business and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Engage with a range of stakeholders (including our public policy team) to advocate and represent the company's interests in relation to digital infrastructure development.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school (or foreign equivalent) with active membership in at least one US State Bar.
- Outstanding stakeholder fluency and engagement.
- Exceptional team spirit, an open mind, and a willingness to take the initiative on a wide range of projects.
- The ability to bridge global cultural and skillset differences through expertise, insight, collaboration and strong project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Adaptable and comfortable in operating and managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving, high growth environment.
- An ability to offer commercially viable alternatives as part of risk management.
- Experience in developing new documentation and best practices and implementing legal processes in a fast-paced international environment which enables the business to scale.
