Senior Advisor, Commercial Counsel

Manages a variety of legal business matters and acts as an advisor on legal issues involving the organization. Reviews legal data, advises on appropriate legal action, and coordinates legal matters handled by outside counsel. Demonstrates relevant experience in practice areas such as litigation, commercial transactions, intellectual property, and corporate transactional matters. Handles securities, employment, immigration, compliance, or regulatory matters.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Advisor Commercial Counsel, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating international sales agreements with Dell’s largest global commercial customers. You will work with Dell’s sales teams and executives to negotiate sales agreements for information technology products, services, and software.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Assist in the development and negotiation strategy, providing input and guidance on the commercial and legal elements of the transaction.
  • Interact effectively with senior management and have a successful track record as both a legal advisor and business leader.
  • Collaborate with service, sales, operations, delivery, and finance to ensure that agreements adequately protect Dell’s interests.
  • Review and provide input on terms and conditions contained in RFP’s and sales proposals.
  • Lead negotiations for the sale of information technology products, services, and software.

Essential Requirements

  • Experienced attorney with a minimum of 6+ years of domestic and international sales negotiation, transactional, and/or in-house corporate legal experience.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of the information technology industry and detailed knowledge of commercial contract terms.
  • Should be a self-starter who is able to work independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
