The Vice President of Integrated Services & Regulatory at Methodist Health System (MHS) oversees the delivery of support service functions throughout MHS to ensure efficient and cost-effective service delivery across various areas, including Plant Engineering and Operations, Maintenance, Grounds, Patient Transportation, Mail/Courier Services, Safety, Security, Emergency Preparedness, Food Services, Sustainability, Construction collaboration, Call Center, PBX/DialMD, Environmental Services, and Regulatory leadership. The VP will lead the Integrated Service (IS) division, as well as Regulatory teams, supporting the strategic goals of MHS and its affiliates.

Essential Job Functions:
Service Delivery: Apply an understanding of business operations to guide the delivery of support services, ensuring they align with the unique demands of a 24/7 healthcare environment. While direct experience in healthcare operations is preferred, the role requires the ability to adapt strategies and practices to meet the high standards of patient-centered care, safety, and compliance expected in a healthcare setting. Utilize this insight to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of services across all areas of responsibility.
Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with MHS leadership to develop, educate, and model the mission, vision, values, and standards of behavior of MHS. Establish and maintain strategic objectives across the division that align with the system and affiliate goals, monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments.
Change Management: Demonstrate a strong history of advocating for and executing significant change initiatives. Make a compelling case for change and drive execution to achieve desired outcomes, balancing competing priorities effectively.
Team Empowerment: Lead and manage a high-performing team within the IS division and regulatory teams, allowing team members to take calculated risks while providing guidance and support. Encourage innovation and ownership among staff, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
System Mentality: Operate with a system-wide perspective, ensuring that all areas of responsibility contribute to the broader goals of MHS. Build and maintain relationships across the system to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
Budget and Resource Management: Participate in the annual budgeting process, forecasting revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures. Monitor budget performance and ensure the prudent use of financial, human, and material resources to deliver safe and effective services.
Community and Emergency Preparedness: Represent MHS in regional and local community organizations, supporting disaster preparedness and education efforts. Oversee the Emergency Preparedness plan for the system, ensuring continuous readiness through planning, drills, and education.
Sustainability Leadership: Drive the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives, ensuring the achievement of MHS’s sustainability goals. Educate and engage stakeholders across the system to maintain active support and participation.
Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accrediting bodies, continuously improving processes to meet and exceed standards. Collaborate with leadership to address and rectify issues as they arise.
Executive Collaboration: Participate in executive and leadership meetings, offering expertise in operational planning, execution of new objectives, and course corrections. Maintain a thorough understanding of financial and operational status reports, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Construction Project Collaboration: Coordinate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to align project timelines and ensure the successful execution of construction initiatives within MHS.
Regulatory: Responsible for the strategic leadership and governance of regulatory compliance. Oversees the identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring of organizational readiness throughout MHS while ensuring compliance with federal, state and industry regulations. Works with all affiliates on their regulatory plans and creates an environment for shared process, learning and collaboration.

Job Requirements
Education
Masters degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field required.
Experience
Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience.
Minimum 10 years experience of financial and budgetary processes and practices including revenue, expense and capital expenditures, strategic financial planning and financial accountability.
Minimum 5 years experience in the healthcare industry.
Previous experience with regulatory governance in a matrixed environment.
License/Certifications
None
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Knowledge of support services operational functions and efficiencies.
Ability to monitor/comply with governmental and organizational standards, procedures, regulations and initiate enforcement/corrective action to meet requirements. Preferred experience with CMS, JCAHO and OSHA standards and compliance as they relate to these support services.
Ability to use critical and analytical thinking skills to manage problems, streamline processes, utilize innovative and creative approaches to resolve issues and formulate effective strategies consistent with work operations and the goals/mission/values of the organization.
Ability to create and support a work environment that embraces and appreciates diversity.
Ability to express and present ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience in both oral and written formats.
Ability to process and manage confidential information with discretion and according to security and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) protocols.

Advanced interpersonal relationship skills to interact in a tactful and sensitive way in delicate and/or complex situations and to make effective presentations to employees, colleagues, Health System executives, Board of Trustees, regulatory and accrediting agencies and other constituencies.
