Location: On-site, multiple U.S. locations - must live within driving distance of specific worksite location

Schedule: Monday – Friday 

Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week

FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt

Clearance: Public Trust eligibility


Position Summary

The Compliance Review Attorney supports federal compliance, regulatory review, and case evaluation activities for a government customer. This position performs legal and factual analysis of complaints, allegations, inquiries, and supporting documentation to determine appropriate disposition and support program objectives. The Compliance Review Attorney prepares written analyses, correspondence, memoranda, and other case-related documentation while ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedural requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a structured, deadline-driven environment. The performance of this position is key to RavenTek's performance on the contract, and therefore RavenTek's mission to support the customer.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review complaints, allegations, inquiries, and supporting documentation for completeness and sufficiency.
  • Conduct legal and factual analysis to identify relevant issues and determine appropriate disposition or next steps.
  • Evaluate information for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedural requirements.
  • Perform research and analysis to support case review, investigative, and compliance-related activities.
  • Draft correspondence, memoranda, summaries, reports, and other written work products.
  • Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and supporting records within applicable systems.
  • Analyze large volumes of information and documentation while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Communicate with stakeholders to obtain additional information, clarification, or supporting documentation as needed.
  • Support quality assurance efforts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of work products.
  • Manage multiple assignments and competing priorities while meeting established deadlines and performance standards.
  • Protect sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
  • Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
  • Submit Monthly Status Reports on a regular basis, as required. 
  • Monitor RavenTek email on a regular basis, at least 3 times per week, and respond accordingly.
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Critical Skills

  • Demonstrated legal analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively. 
  • Advanced legal writing and technical documentation experience. 
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret complex records, documentation, and supporting evidence. 
  • Capacity to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • Proven ability to work independently while maintaining quality, consistency, and adherence to established procedures. 
  • Familiarity with compliance, regulatory, investigative, administrative, or legal review processes. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic case management systems. 
  • Sound judgment when handling sensitive, confidential, and potentially high-impact matters. 
  • Commitment to accuracy, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Education & Work Experience

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. 
  • Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. 
  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant legal experience. 
  • Experience conducting legal analysis, investigations, compliance reviews, regulatory reviews, administrative reviews, or case evaluations preferred. 
  • Experience supporting government, regulatory, compliance, investigative, or legal operations environments preferred. 
  • Demonstrated legal writing, analytical, and research skills required.

Certifications, Licenses

  • Active bar membership required.

Special Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust level clearance.

Work Environment 

Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.


Physical Demands

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
