U.S. Regulatory Counsel – Gaming & Government Affairs

TELECOMMUTE Remote Full Time

Rapidly growing global online gaming and interactive entertainment company has hired Garrison on an exclusive basis to recruit an experienced gaming lawyer to serve as its first U.S. regulatory & government affairs Counsel. This is a fully remote position that can be based anywhere in the U.S. and will report directly to the General Counsel, offering a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible role at the intersection of gaming, technology, regulatory strategy, and government affairs.

This attorney will serve as a key advisor to business leadership on U.S. gaming laws and regulatory developments across multiple jurisdictions, while also partnering closely with the government affairs team on lobbying, ethics, campaign finance, licensing, and enforcement matters. The position offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to help shape legal and regulatory strategy for a market-leading interactive entertainment company, which harnesses technology and creativity to deliver world-class online social games.

Responsibilities include:
• Advising on U.S. gaming and sweepstakes-related regulatory matters across state and federal jurisdictions
• Counseling business and government affairs teams on lobbying, ethics, campaign finance, licensing, and enforcement issues
• Providing practical, business-oriented legal guidance to senior leadership on complex regulatory matters
• Drafting and maintaining internal compliance and regulatory guidance materials
• Partnering cross-functionally with legal, compliance, policy, and operational stakeholders across the organization

Qualified candidates will ideally have:
• 8+ years of legal experience from a top law firm and/or in-house legal department
• Significant experience within gaming, sports betting, sweepstakes, or another highly regulated industry
• Strong familiarity with U.S. gaming regulations and government affairs compliance matters
• Experience working directly with regulators on licensing, investigations, and enforcement-related issues
• Excellent judgment, commercial acumen, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior business stakeholders
