Corporate Healthcare Attorney

RXNT is seeking a Corporate Healthcare Attorney to serve as a key legal advisor supporting the company's growth, operations, compliance, and strategic initiatives. This position will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to provide practical legal guidance on healthcare regulations, commercial transactions, data privacy, product development, and corporate governance.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of legal experience with a strong foundation in healthcare law, healthcare technology, SaaS contracting, privacy, and regulatory compliance. This role offers an opportunity to work directly with senior leadership and gain broad exposure to the legal and business aspects of a growing healthcare technology company.

Key Responsibilities

Healthcare Regulatory and Compliance Support
  • Advise business and operational teams on healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, HITECH, fraud and abuse laws, state privacy regulations, and healthcare technology compliance obligations.
  • Support the development, review, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor changes in healthcare laws and regulations and communicate business impacts to leadership.
  • Assist with responses to customer compliance inquiries, audits, and regulatory reviews.
  • Lead compliance and security governance frameworks to support ongoing risk management initiatives.
Commercial Contracting
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of agreements, including:
    • SaaS subscription agreements
    • Master services agreements
    • Business associate agreements
    • Data use and data-sharing agreements
    • Vendor agreements
    • Partnership and referral agreements
    • Non-disclosure agreements
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Product, and Finance teams to support revenue-generating activities while appropriately managing legal risk.
  • Maintain and improve contract templates, contract management, and contracting processes.
Privacy and Data Security
  • Provide legal guidance regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of healthcare data.
  • Support privacy impact assessments and security reviews.
  • Assist with data breach/security incident investigations and response efforts.
  • Partner with Information Security teams to ensure compliance with applicable privacy and cybersecurity requirements.
Product and Technology Support
  • Advise Product and Engineering teams on legal considerations related to healthcare software, interoperability, data exchange, artificial intelligence, and emerging healthcare technologies.
  • Review product features and workflows for regulatory and privacy implications.
  • Assist with legal review of marketing materials, customer communications, and product documentation.
Corporate and Strategic Initiatives
  • Support mergers and acquisitions, due diligence projects, and strategic partnerships.
  • Assist with corporate governance matters, including maintenance of corporate records and organizational documents.
  • Work with outside counsel on specialized legal matters as needed.
  • Support executive leadership on a variety of business and operational legal issues.

Qualifications

Required
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or combination thereof.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Experience advising healthcare technology, digital health, SaaS, EHR, RCM, or healthcare IT companies.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, healthcare fraud and abuse laws, and state privacy regulations.
  • Experience supporting healthcare data privacy and cybersecurity matters.
  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, or corporate governance matters.
  • Familiarity with AI-related legal and regulatory considerations in healthcare.
