Lumexa Imaging is seeking an experienced, thoughtful, and business-oriented Corporate Counsel to join its legal team. This attorney will initially be a generalist in the Legal Department and for the organization, responsible for advising on a wide range of risk, corporate, growth, litigation, and development matters including those arising directly from our national outpatient imaging platform, including its outpatient imaging centers, managed physician practices, and related business functions.

The Corporate Counsel will work closely with other members of the Legal Department, and also directly with operational, physician, compliance, and executive leaders to provide clear, practical, and timely legal advice on a full range of matters. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to grow and develop along with Lumexa Imaging and is intended for a lawyer with strong healthcare experience, sound judgment and business instincts, and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to supporting a complex, multi-site provider platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the Legal Department, provide day-to-day advice to Lumexa Imaging and its operations and related business functions.
  • Work independently and with other members of the Legal Department to ensure that we meet our department objectives, including our service level commitments to the organization.
  • Through active engagement and affirmative support, uphold, strengthen, and advance the positive culture of the Legal Department and Lumexa Imaging.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate agreements central to the Company’s operating model, provide corporate and operational advice, manage risk and litigation matters, and support the achievement of Lumexa’s strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with other lawyers, the broader corporate team, and operations leaders to identify legal risks and develop practical recommendations.
  • Develop practical guidance, standard policies, and training on legal issues affecting the business.
  • As requested, supervise and help develop junior attorneys and legal staff.
  • Manage outside counsel effectively and efficiently.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will be an experienced lawyer with strong operational instincts, sound judgment, collaborative mindset, and a practical style. This individual should be comfortable handling a broad range of matters independently in a fast-paced environment and should work effectively with executives, operators, physicians, compliance professionals, and outside counsel.

Preferred Experience and Attributes:

  • Three to five years of experience as a licensed attorney, ideally advising (whether as external or internal legal counsel) one or more multistate healthcare organizations.
  • Strong experience working with healthcare facilities, provider organizations, physician practices, or other multi-site healthcare platforms.
  • Prior law firm or in-house experience preferred.
  • Experience in a growth-oriented, private equity-backed and/or public company environment preferred.
  • Practical, business-oriented, and solutions-minded.
  • Clear and effective communicator with strong judgment and discretion.
  • Strong prioritization and project management skills.
  • Credible with executives, physicians, and operational leaders.
