About the Role

LLH Healthcare is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Attorney to join our team in an in-office capacity. This role is responsible for supporting the organization with a wide range of legal matters, including contract review, compliance support, operational guidance, and risk management. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage a high volume of work, effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and provide practical legal guidance to business leaders across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, revise, and negotiate a variety of contracts and legal documents, including vendor agreements, service agreements, confidentiality agreements, and business partnership contracts
  • Provide legal guidance related to healthcare operations, compliance, and business initiatives
  • Assist with managing legal risk and ensuring organizational compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Support leadership with legal research, issue analysis, and recommendations
  • Handle multiple projects and competing priorities in a high-volume environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Provide guidance on general business and operational matters as needed
  • Maintain organized legal documentation and contract tracking processes
  • Coordinate with external counsel as needed
  • Assist with regulatory responses, audits, and legal correspondence
  • Ensure timely turnaround on legal reviews and requests from internal stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license and ability to practice law in the State of Alabama required
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of legal experience within corporate law setting with a focus on contract management, or regulatory compliance
  • Prior experience in the insurance industry or supporting insurance-related legal matters is preferred, but not required
  • Must have strong knowledge of contract law and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to manage a large workload with competing deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems

Work Environment

  • In-office office five (5) days per week
  • Fast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking and prioritization skills
