Corporate Counsel, Amazon Leo for Government
This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.
Key job responsibilities
- Support government contracting compliance efforts
- Review government contract solicitations and proposals
- Provide guidance on subcontracts and technology development agreements
- Advise on intellectual property matters
- Ensure compliance with a wide range of U.S. and international government contracts
- Develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and engineer processes that address gravity and risk to provide the business with flexibility and freedom to move quickly.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of legal experience- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience in transactional work, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work- Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities
- Experience counseling internal business clients and managing legal risk

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
