Our Legal–Litigation department seeks an experienced litigation attorney to support our operations within the Dallas, Texas, territory. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a variety of litigation matters, collaborate with internal stakeholders and provide strategic legal guidance in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in litigation and sound judgment.

The pay range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

Be ready to:

  • defend litigation cases involving auto liability, premises liability and other personal lines and commercial insurance matters through all phases of the legal process. This includes conducting case evaluations, developing legal strategies, managing discovery, taking depositions, negotiating settlements when appropriate and representing clients in court to achieve favorable and timely resolutions.
  • provide clear, effective and timely communication to clients regarding both legal and factual developments in their cases. This includes offering sound legal advice, explaining complex issues in an understandable manner, setting expectations and ensuring clients are informed of risks, opportunities and recommended courses of action throughout the lifecycle of each case.
  • partner closely with claims supervisors and other key stakeholders to align litigation strategy with business objectives. Collaborate to evaluate claims, assess exposure, control costs and drive optimal outcomes, while maintaining a strong focus on efficiency, compliance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Be equipped with:

  • an active Texas law license (required)
  • strong academic and professional credentials
  • five or more years of litigation and trial experience
  • jury trial experience (preferred)
  • insurance defense experience (strongly preferred)
