5. Works with outside agencies to obtain information and coordinate services
6. Assists with crime victim’s compensation claims.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. No experience required.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the general public, while maintaining confidentiality.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Standard office environment. May require prolonged sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, twisting, climbing and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides support to the District Attorney’s Office by contacting and interviewing individuals who are victims of a crime and have a case pending. Provides information about the court process, punishment options, resources and referrals. Provides crisis counseling and court accompaniment. Does a risk assessment and safety planning. Works with outside agencies to obtain information and coordinate social services for crime victims. Assists in the application of crime victim’s compensation claims, and performs other related duties as directed.RESPONSIBILITIES
