Counsel will serve as a key member of eviCore’s Client Contracting team, providing legal guidance on complex commercial agreements and regulatory matters supporting eviCore’s medical benefits management solutions. This role will partner closely with business leaders, product teams, compliance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to deliver practical, risk-based legal advice that supports business growth and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, draft, and advise on client contracts supporting Commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid business.

  • Provide legal guidance on commercial, operational, and regulatory issues impacting eviCore products and services.

  • Partner with business leaders to develop practical solutions that balance legal risk and business objectives.

  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Product, and Operations partners to provide consistent and timely guidance.

  • Identify emerging legal and regulatory risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

  • Support the development of innovative contract structures and business arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required.

  • 3+ years of experience negotiating and drafting commercial agreements.

  • Experience providing practical legal counsel to business stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate directly with clients, customers, providers, vendors, or business partners.

  • Healthcare industry experience preferred, including health systems, health plans, managed care, pharmacy, digital health, healthcare technology, or other healthcare-related organizations.

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory matters, HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, or privacy laws preferred.

  • Strong judgment, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a business-minded attorney who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, negotiating complex agreements, and providing practical legal guidance in a highly regulated healthcare environment. Candidates may come from healthcare law firms, health systems, health plans, pharmacy organizations, healthcare technology companies, digital health organizations, or other healthcare-focused settings.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 132,700 - 221,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
