As a ATTORNEY-ADVISER (GENERAL) at the GS-0905-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Serves as Associate General Counsel with a focus on Labor and Employment law counseling, FOIA, and other administrative law practice areas for Agency comprised of civilian, military, and contract personnel.
• Serves as an Ethics Counselor and advise on a broad array of standard of conduct issues, including conflicts of interests, acceptance of gifts, and use of funds for official courtesies.
• Represents the interests of DSCA before courts and administrative tribunals, including the Merit Systems Protection Board and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
• Provides legal support, advice, and counsel to DSCA staff under the guidance of the DSCA General Counsel and senior DSCA attorneys.
  

To qualify for the GS-14 level, applicants must have:

- First professional law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) accredited by the American Bar Association; and
-Active membership in the bar of the highest court of a State, U.S. commonwealth, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia. (A copy of the applicant's bar card or letter from the bar may be acceptable evidence); and
- Professional legal experience in excess of 3 years that is commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position.

• Providing legal support, advice, and counsel on a broad array of complex issues involving administrative and personnel law and regulations, ethics/standards of conduct, Freedom of Information (FOIA) and/or Privacy Act.
