Attorney
General Overview:

Key Areas of Responsibility:
The Attorney will provide services related to a variety of high-net-worth client needs, including but not limited to:
- Client education regarding all aspects of estate planning such as:
- Basic wills, revocable trusts, POAs, Health Care Directives, LLCs;
- Sophisticated vehicles such as GRATs, CLATs, Preferred Return Partnerships, Family Limited Liability Partnerships, GST Trusts, ILITs, SLATs, IDGTs and Private Foundations;
- Implementing lifetime gifting plans as part of a comprehensive estate tax mitigation strategy including an understanding of Generation Skipping Transfer Tax planning and its implications on proposed transactions;
- Creating illustrations and detailed projections to assist with the planning process; and
- Reviewing gift and estate tax returns.
- Trust and estate administration including creation of written actions and minutes.
- Sale/purchase transactions.
- Court approval for large or impactful trust transactions.
- Entity and Foundation management and compliance.
- Miscellaneous business and contract work, including the creation of LLCs and related funding.
- Changes in the tax environment, as relevant.
- Assisting with management and coordination of outside counsel.
- Supporting the Company as needed in the areas of Insurance, Investments, Accounting, Human Resources, Corporate Compliance, and Tax.
Professional Qualifications/Skillset:
- Four-year undergraduate degree and JD.
- Minimum 10 years of legal experience in trust administration and estate planning.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills with high EQ.
- Ability to connect with clients, understand their priorities, fully analyze and communicate their options and action client’s choices.
- Adaptable, dependable and detail oriented.
- Ability to leverage technology and data platforms to accomplish tasks in an efficient and useful manner.
- Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task.
- Must display positive attitude in managing interactions with others inside and outside the company.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information.
- Must be a self-starter and work effectively as a part of a team.
- Perform tasks at multiple levels and willing to support and oversee work being performed by personnel at all levels.
- Must work well in an ever evolving atmosphere.
Working Conditions:
The physical working conditions of this position include an office environment where sitting and working on a computer for extended periods of time are common. This position will be expected to travel for client meetings regularly.
