About your team

Interactive Brokers is looking for a motivated and talented litigation attorney with trial experience and interest in litigating securities and commodities disputes for broker-dealers. The candidate should be interested in joining the firm’s General Counsel office in Greenwich, CT, Chicago, IL or Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

· Representing the firm in arbitration and other adversarial proceedings (both directly and in conjunction with outside counsel);

· Coordinating with outside counsel on court actions involving the firm;

· Representing firm employees in third-party proceedings;

· Advising firm employees on pre-litigation matters;

· Drafting agreements, disclosures, account documentation and website materials;

· Investigating and providing detailed analysis and legal advice related to a range of issues relating to the IBKR trading platform, including trade execution, anti-fraud measures, and cybersecurity matters.

Qualifications:

· At least 7 years of post-J.D. experience as a litigator at a law firm, financial services regulatory agency, exchange, broker-dealer or FCM;

· Would prefer “on-your-feet” experience in court or arbitration proceedings;

· Would prefer familiarity with securities, futures and broker-dealer issues;

· Member in good standing of the bar of any U.S. state or the District of Columbia;

· Solid academic background;

· High degree of comfort and fluency with computers and technology, and understanding of how technology is applied to business and regulatory problems;

· Facility with AI tools;

· Outstanding oral and written communication skills;

· Ability to work in a small-team environment, to work independently, and to multi-task with minimal supervision.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $250,000 to $330,000 per year, based on skills, experience, and location. The offered salary is just part of the total compensation package.
