Lyten is seeking a Sr Legal Operations Specialist to shape how the legal department works as the company rapidly scales. This role will help define Legal's AI roadmap, uplevel the team's operating performance, and run the systems and programs that allow a lean legal team to scale with the business. Success requires being both a builder and an architect: someone who can develop a long-term vision for world-class legal operations while also rolling up their sleeves to drive execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Help define Legal’s AI roadmap: identify workflows that can be transformed with AI, guide build-vs-buy decisions, drive adoption, and measure impact.

- Build and maintain the legal department’s workflows, intake/triage processes, approval routing, and knowledge infrastructure (precedent library, playbooks, SOPs, internal hubs) so the business knows when and how to loop in legal.
- Uplevel the legal team's operating system: support annual planning, define key results and metrics, build dashboards, and serve as project manager for high-impact legal initiatives.
- Support the department’s governance and compliance hygiene, including records retention and litigation holds, internal controls documentation, D&O insurance renewal, and internal audit/compliance testing cycles.
- Administer Lyten's cap table and equity management platform (e.g., Carta), including stock option and RSU grant processing, 409A valuation coordination, and stakeholder and investor reporting.
- Onboard and train new legal department hires, and proactively spot process gaps and create scalable solutions.
- Lean into other legal department needs as they arise to support the broader legal team given its lean size.

- Strong execution and project management skills with a demonstrated ownership mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity, able to concurrently drive multiple workstreams and deadlines; experience defining key results and building dashboards a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to move fluently between a legal conversation and a Finance, Sales, Product, or Engineering conversation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience using GenAI tools to build AI-powered legal workflows.
- Experience supporting a legal function through periods of significant growth.
- Experience with legal operations across multiple international entities/jurisdictions.
