JOB DESCRIPTION

The Assistant General Counsel supports the Legal Department in providing timely, high-quality legal advice, services, and professional development to the Board of Education, Superintendent, and District leadership regarding federal and state laws, regulations, and legal issues affecting public education. The position focuses on litigation, including employemnt and special education matters; represents the District and administrative staff in judicial, administrative, and regulatory proceedings; coordinates responses to investigations by state and federal agencies; and helps ensure lawful, effective, and mission-focused decision-making across the District.
