Our Legal team works in a highly complex global business sector with a diverse range of local, regional and international organizations. From ensuring compliance in different jurisdictions to supporting business teams with customer and supplier contracts, we’re involved in a variety of projects. This role serves as a legal authority, offering comprehensive legal advice and services to internal stakeholders within the organization. The position requires oversight of legal risk, compliance, and governance, while also engaging with external parties such as vendors and regulators when necessary. The role is responsible for shaping legal strategies that align with business objectives and digital trust values. Collaboration across departments is essential to maintain consistency and support organizational growth. The role demands a proactive approach to adapting legal practices to evolving standards and regulations.

Our Compensation Philosophy

Digital Realty offers its employees a highly competitive compensation package, excellent benefits, and an environment that recognizes and rewards your contributions. Central to our compensation

philosophy is rewarding our employees for achieving the values and objectives aligned to the company's overall goals and values.

Our published pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and geographical location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. Moreover, an employee’s total compensation package varies by role and may include salary, cash bonus or commissions, and equity awards not quantified below.

Compensation range: $285,000

This compensation range represents the Company’s good faith belief as to what it will pay as a base salary for this position at the time of this posting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The expert in this position leads legal oversight and provides strategic direction for one or more departments, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance standards. Responsibilities include planning and managing budgets, overseeing expense management, and driving employee development within the legal function. The role involves setting objectives, determining effective courses of action, and reorganizing work outputs to maintain consistency across the organization. The role leads initiatives to update methods and processes in response to changes in internal or external standards, continually improving organizational effectiveness. They also negotiate complex agreements, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance on risk management. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for influencing decision-making and fostering teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed attorney/lawyer, 12-18 Years of relevant legal experience, Proven expertise in corporate legal matters, Demonstrated leadership in risk and compliance, Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills, Strong analytical and presentation abilities.
