Legal Counsel
SuperDial is building AI-powered infrastructure for healthcare operations. Our technology automates complex, manual interactions between healthcare organizations and payers, helping teams move faster, reduce administrative burden, and improve the economics of delivering care.
As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re looking for a highly practical, business-minded attorney to join the team and help build the legal foundation that supports SuperDial as we scale.
The Role
We’re hiring a Legal Counsel to serve as a key legal partner across SuperDial.
This is a broad, hands-on role spanning commercial contracts, corporate matters, employment, privacy, healthcare, product, compliance, and general business issues. You’ll work closely with our founders and leaders across Sales, Finance, People, Product, Engineering, and Operations.
Commercial contracting will be a significant part of the role. You’ll own and negotiate agreements with customers, vendors, and partners, including enterprise MSAs, SaaS agreements, SOWs, DPAs, and BAAs. At the same time, you’ll be the person the business turns to when a legal question arises, whether it’s related to a new product, an employee matter, a corporate transaction, a privacy issue, or something we’ve never encountered before.
We’re looking for someone who can distinguish meaningful risk from theoretical risk, give clear recommendations, and help the company move quickly and responsibly.
What You’ll Do
Own the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements, including enterprise MSAs, SaaS agreements, SOWs, DPAs, BAAs, NDAs, vendor agreements, and partnership agreements
Partner closely with Sales on customer negotiations and help move complex enterprise deals efficiently from negotiation through signature
Advise leadership on a broad range of day-to-day legal and business matters
Support corporate matters including financings, board and governance matters, equity, entity management, and other corporate transactions in partnership with outside counsel
Advise the People team on employment-related matters, policies, compensation and equity issues, employee relations, and other workplace questions
Partner with Product and Engineering on product counseling, privacy, data usage, intellectual property, security, and AI-related legal considerations
Support SuperDial’s healthcare regulatory and compliance needs, including HIPAA and matters involving protected health information
Advise on privacy and data protection requirements and negotiate related contractual provisions
Identify emerging legal and regulatory risks and translate them into practical recommendations for the business
Build and maintain legal templates, policies, contract playbooks, approval processes, and scalable legal infrastructure
Help establish appropriate risk thresholds and decision-making frameworks as the company grows
Manage outside counsel and determine when specialized external expertise is needed
Support disputes, claims, and other legal matters as they arise
Jump into new and unfamiliar legal issues, quickly determine what matters, and develop a path forward
What We’re Looking For
JD from an accredited U.S. law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
5+ years of relevant legal experience
Strong foundation in commercial contracting, including meaningful experience negotiating enterprise technology or SaaS agreements
Broad legal judgment and the ability to advise on matters outside of your primary area of expertise
Experience at a high-growth technology company, healthcare technology company, or similarly fast-moving environment strongly preferred
Familiarity with healthcare, HIPAA, privacy, data protection, AI, employment, or corporate matters is a plus
Experience working with sophisticated enterprise customers and their legal, security, and procurement teams
Ability to understand complex legal issues and translate them into clear, practical business advice
Strong commercial instincts and comfort making risk-based decisions
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Comfortable operating independently and managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Able to recognize when an issue can be handled internally and when specialized outside counsel is needed
High ownership, sound judgment, and a bias toward action
You’ll Thrive Here If You
Are a legal generalist who enjoys having a wide scope
Like being close to the business and want to understand how the company actually operates
Can move seamlessly from negotiating a customer agreement to advising on an employment or product issue
Don’t need a large legal department or established process to be effective
Know how to assess risk without defaulting to “no”
Are comfortable making recommendations with imperfect information
Enjoy building processes and infrastructure from the ground up
Want significant ownership and exposure to company leadership
Believe Legal should protect the company while helping it move faster
