We Offer

Credit Suisse’s General Counsel - Data Management & IP/Sourcing Group in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a full-time lawyer to support the Bank’s Sourcing & Vendor Management Group (“SVM”) in the Americas region, with a focus on drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on complex technology and non-technology licensing and services agreements and related legal issues.

An interesting and challenging job opening as Legal Counsel within a highly motivated team in a dynamic and evolving environment as part of the General Counsel division, based in Research Triangle Park, NC

Opportunity to partner and work closely with Credit Suisse’s Sourcing & Vendor Management (“SVM”) Group in all legal matters pertaining to technology and non-technology transactions

Provision of proactive and day-to-day legal advice to the Bank's SVM Group, in particular with respect to business, contract and IP law matters

Interaction with the Bank's other legal, compliance and business teams on various levels globally

Participation in projects in connection with transactions

You Offer

3-7 years relevant commercial/transactional experience in a law firm or corporate environment, negotiating, drafting and reviewing software license contracts and professional services agreements, and counseling various business units/clients with respect to transactions and related legal issues, including licensing deals, development agreements, cloud and SaaS agreements, support and maintenance agreements and related services agreements

Excellent vendor contract negotiation skills, in addition to experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including but not limited to contracts for internal stakeholders in sales/business development, procurement, marketing, software licensing, technology, and services

Privacy, information security and data management knowledge is a plus

The ability to communicate issues to deal teams, raise salient issues, propose various strategies and strategic language to limit risk, and assist deal teams with complying with terms and evaluate deals from a legal and risk perspective to help clients achieve their business objectives with an appropriate risk/reward balance

Solid interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team with other lawyers and business partners

Must have JD or equivalent law degree

Must be admitted to at least one state bar (active/good standing), with preference for New York or North Carolina
