Providing antitrust/competition law advice and representation to a wide range of wireless businesses. The position requires broad knowledge of antitrust/competition law as applied to Qualcomms licensing, product and services businesses. Candidates will be required to apply antitrust/competition law principles in advising the different business units, developing and maintaining, compliance programs, managing complex antitrust litigation in courts and regulatory agencies throughout the world and handling M&A regulatory process. The attorney will be required to work collaboratively in a team environment on multiple projects, and manage a team comprised of internal and external resources to achieve cost effective and successful outcomes. Responsibilities: Advising business management on the application of antitrust/competition law in various business situations. Development and management of compliance programs, case strategies and case budgets as well as active involvement in and management of litigation matters and M&A regulatory process. Litigation duties typically include management of outside counsel, factual investigations, pretrial pleadings, discovery, motions practice and dispute resolution (whether by settlement, trial, or ADR).
Five or more years of employment as a private practice competition law attorney or in-house litigation counsel focused on competition law cases. U.S. State Bar membership required.
Experience working for antitrust enforcer. California Bar membership. Fluency in foreign languages. Technical degree.
